* He began playing a Finnish 'zither' type instrument called a 'Kantele' (yes,
the one mentioned over and over in the Kalevala) at the age of 9.
* He also used to sing backing vocals on the earlier
albums. He describes his voice as being high, in his own words 'gayish.' (Bless 'im!)
* Pauli enjoys taking time out in
cities such as Barcelona to write new songs.
* He has won an EMMA (Finnish equivalent of a Grammy) for Producer of the

* He arrived in the band later when Janne decide to leave music behind and travel
to find peace. Until this time Aki sold T-Shirts for the band during their live performances.
* He believes that playing
drums is the only thing he is any good at.
* He suffers from vertigo, and is quoted as having said that the Eiffel Tower
was 'awful' because it's so high!
* He loves cats. He's used to have cats and rats!
* He HATES to be alone, and says
he doesn't care about crying in public.Lauri has once stated (in YAM magazine): "Aki is very sensitive. He finds it easy to
cry which is something I envy about him because I can't".
* He learn't drums in School but stopped as he thought it killed
his creativity!

FAV MOVIE: Hard question. There
are to many but i am a big Steve McQueen fan, so i like all his movies. there are many other movies i like but it would be
long list to write.
FAV BAND: Arrrgh! Same thing this would be much longer, but here are some. Buddy Miles, Grandfunk
Railroad , ELVIS, The Who , Blackfoot , Grateful Dead, The Byrds....actually if you look at my records at home 90% of them
are from 1960-70 and that favourite song is impossible to answer.it changes all the time.
WHEN STARTED DRUMMING?:
I was about 12 years old when i played drums first time after that we make drumkit ourselves from paintcans with my friend
he did play guitar and i try and smash those cans as hard as i could. We did try play Metallica covers. After that our music
taste changed a little bit when we heard one Finnish band called Kingston Wall and then we started the band called Rasmus.
With Rasmus I did 3 records and touring about 5 years. After that i did leave Rasmus and next 5 years I travelled around Asia
6 months per year. That time I didn't play at all. Summer 2003 I started my own band, we play Buddy Miles covers. Christmas
i joined Lovestone and here we are.
INSPIRATION: What inspires me? If you mean drumming. Buddy miles, Ronnie Tutt
(TUS , Elvis), Sami Kuoppamaki (Kingston Wall), Keith Moon (The Who) etc......and You.

* For those of you who dont know - Janne was the first drummer of The Rasmus,
but left after 5 years after the band got signed.
* He was the drummer on, - Peep, Playboys and Hell Of A Tester, but
left shortly after the release of HOAT to travel.
* In the summer of 2003 Janne formed a band of his own (name unknown)
and they played Buddy Miles covers.
* In winter 2003 Janne joined 'Lovestone' a Finnish rock'n'roll band which tour around
Finland, Norway and Sweden, Uk tours are not for certain but maybe in the near future.
